Our group tours are designed to feel very close to a private experience. We keep our groups small, usually just 2-8 guests, so everything moves at a relaxed pace. You’ll have time to ask questions, connect with each other, chat with local vendors, and truly enjoy the places you visit. You’ll experience the same carefully chosen local spots as on a private tour, with the bonus of sharing the journey and the cost with other travelers. Many guests tell us afterward that it feels more like exploring Hanoi with a local friend than joining a typical group tour, and that they really felt our care before, during, and after the experience.
That said, private tours can be a better fit in certain situations. If you have special or complex dietary restrictions, are celebrating a special occasion, or simply prefer having the space and pace fully tailored to you, a customized private tour might be the right choice.
Absolutely! Our tours are kids- and elderly-friendly. Children of all ages are welcome, and infants can join in a stroller or baby carrier, though we recommend a compact foldable stroller for Hanoi’s narrow streets. Seniors are also very welcome, and we’ll move at a relaxed pace with plenty of breaks. Please note the ages of all participants when booking so we can prepare and ensure a comfortable experience for everyone.
Yes! We have a special Vegetarian and Vegan tour called Veggie Delight, designed for groups where most or all members follow a plant-based diet. This tour is carefully planned so everyone can enjoy every dish without compromise.
On our standard food tour, we take you to a hidden local coffee spot with great drinks and authentic Hanoi vibes that most visitors would otherwise miss. Instead of Train Street, which is easy to visit on your own, we focus on spots that feel more local and relaxed. We can also guide you there after the tour if you’d like to explore it independently.
If you really want to see Train Street during the tour, simply choose the 5pm tour and note it when booking, we’ll happily include it for you.
Hanoi has so many hidden dishes and food places that even frequent visitors can discover something completely new. If you’d like to try a unique or more adventurous experience, please contact us on WhatsApp (+84 969655521). We’ll suggest the best spots, seasonal specialties, and hidden gems tailored to your taste and curiosity.
Absolutely yes! Feel free to take photos and videos at every stop on the tour. We visit these places often, and the owners know us well and are comfortable with guests taking photos. Besides, our guide can help capture moments while you’re exploring, tasting, and enjoying the tour. Afterward, we’ll share the photos with you, and some may be featured on our website or social media. If you’d prefer to keep your experience private, just let us know, we’ll fully respect your wishes and won’t publish anything.
Both tours offer the same level of care, authentic food, and local stories. The difference is mainly in the atmosphere. During the daytime tour, we explore Hanoi in its real daily rhythm - the streets are already busy, locals are working, vendors are setting up, and life flows through small alleys and sidewalks. It’s lively, active, and very much everyday Hanoi.
We personally recommend the 5 PM tour, as we can take you through both daytime and nighttime Hanoi in one walk, and the contrast is truly special. As the sun goes down, the city becomes even more vibrant and energetic - lights come on, food stalls get busier, and Hanoi feels alive in a different way.
If seeing Train Street is important to you, the 5 PM tour is the only option where we can include it. Just let us know when booking, and we’ll happily arrange it for you.
Our food tours are walking tours, because we truly believe the best way to explore the Hanoi's Old Quarter is on foot. The traffic here is usually busy, and walking allows us to slow down to notice everyday details, easily step into tiny alleys, and discover hidden local spots that you would simply miss on a motorbike.
That said, if you’re heading to Ho Chi Minh City afterward, a motorbike food tour there is a great choice. The vibe is completely different, the streets are wider, and the city is perfect for experiencing food culture on two wheels.
If most people or everyone in your family are foodies and mainly wants to enjoy local food together, regardless of age, we’d recommend the Taste of Hanoi food tour. It works well for mixed ages and focuses on sharing authentic dishes and local stories at a relaxed pace.
If you’d like the experience to focus more on children, with a wider mix of interactive activities, hands-on experiences, playful challenges, and lighter storytelling that kids can easily follow, then Hanoi Family Quest is the better choice. It’s designed to keep children engaged while still being enjoyable and meaningful for parents and grandparents too.
If you’re still unsure, feel free to message us. We’re always happy to help you choose the experience that fits your family best.
We’ve designed the Taste of Hanoi food tour at a comfortable, relaxed pace. The walking is broken into short segments, usually just 50-400 meters at a time, and at each stop we sit down, eat, and take a break before continuing. The total walking distance is often less than 2km, spread out over several hours, so it never feels rushed.
If anyone feels tired, needs to slow down, or would like a short pause, you can tell your guide at any time, and we’ll happily adjust the pace.
Hanoi Family Quest is designed as a small group experience, with a minimum of one family (3-6 people) and maximum of two families per group, usually 8–10 people in total including children. This keeps the experience personal, flexible, and fun for everyone.
If your family group is larger than 10 people, or if you’d prefer a fully private experience, just let us know - we’ll be happy to arrange a private Hanoi Family Quest for you.

We recommend not eating beforehand, or only having something very light. During Hanoi Family Quest, we’ll enjoy quite a few local dishes, and we’ll also visit a local market to understand daily life in Hanoi. The experience is a mix of a food tour and a city walk, so if you eat too much before joining, you may not have enough appetite to fully enjoy the food during the tour.
We’ve designed Hanoi Family Quest with short, easy walks. Each stop is only a few dozen to a few hundred meters apart at most, and every time we arrive at a new spot, we take time to sit down, eat, rest, or join an activity before moving on. The total walking distance is under 2 km, and part of the experience is a relaxing cyclo ride to enjoy the streets without walking at all.
If anyone feels tired, needs a break, or prefers to slow the pace, you can tell your guide at any time, and we’ll happily adjust so everyone feels comfortable.
We design this experience to be both fun and meaningful for you. It’s not just about drinking coffee (or cocoa) — we share the stories behind Vietnamese coffee culture, guide you through the ingredients and brewing styles, and invite you to practice hands-on at a slow, relaxed pace. There’s time for you to ask questions, have fun, try things yourself, and truly enjoy the process. Whether you’re a coffee lover, a beginner, or someone who doesn’t drink coffee at all, you’ll leave with new knowledge, practical skills, and a lovely shared memory with us.
Yes, you can. We do have Vietnamese coffee available for purchase, just let us know in advance so we can prepare it for you. Each guest will also receive a traditional Vietnamese phin filter as a small gift to take home. Other ingredients and tools such as condensed milk, a scale, or basic equipment are easy to find and buy back home.
Yes, absolutely. You’re very welcome to take photos or videos while you’re participating. Just let us know in advance or during the workshop, and the host will be happy to support you by helping with filming or taking photos at the right moments while you’re brewing and enjoying the experience. After the workshop, we’ll also share the best photos with you so you can keep the memories.
