From cocoa smiles to coffee delights with Tineke's family

We met Tineke’s lovely family of four again at our cozy Coffee workshop to wrap up their Hanoi Family Quest – and oh, what a heartwarming finale it was! ✨

☕ Our family were so excited to try making and tasting Vietnamese iconic coffees. For Mom, it was salted coffee that won her heart. She admitted with a smile that at first, the bitterness of black coffee felt intimidating, but salted coffee turned out to be something entirely different: smooth, balanced, and welcoming to everyone, even those who thought they weren’t “coffee people.” Dad, on the other hand, surprised us most - he tried everything, loved every single cup, and crowned the very first condensed-milk coffee as his champion.

While the parents discovered new coffee flavors, our little ones, Lucca and Jona had their own chocolatey joy – cocoa 🍫! Their eyes lit up as they whisked the powder, poured the milk, and tasted the rich cocoa drink they could proudly say they made themselves. Even though our kids didn’t speak English, their smiles and giggles said everything. With parents translating, they joined every step with curiosity. It was simple, fun, and perfectly designed for kids, proving that our coffee workshop is for all families to enjoy together! 🤩

🌎 Between sips and cheers, we shared more than just drinks, but all the stories that followed and lingered. Tineke told us about the journey that brought them here: how she first dreamed of going to Vietnam five years ago after watching a Belgian reality show, how it took a whole year of planning, a leap of courage to travel with kids, and today, here they are! They believed it was the best way to see the world, embrace differences, and understand life beyond their home country. In Hanoi, Tineke found what she was hoping for – a city that felt alive with history, yet welcoming, kind, and had a sense of safety that made them feel at home. 🏠

💛 Dear Tineke’s family, thank you for filling our Hanoi Family Quest with so much laughter, warmth, and wonder. The journey wrapped up perfectly with the sweet notes of cocoa, the rich taste of coffee, and the stories we shared just like friends together. Until next time, may Hanoi’s flavors and memories stay with you – and one day, we can’t wait to welcome Lucca and Jona back on their own adventure when they grow up!
