The First Cultures of the World Festival in Hanoi

From October 10 to 12, the first World Cultures Festival lit up the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel - a vibrant, free-entry event filled with culture, connection, and creativity. As culture and food lovers, we couldn’t miss this event!

With 34 international food stalls and 45 cultural spaces, visitors got to “travel the world by taste and sight” right in the heart of Hanoi. From silk weaving and lacquer painting to folk performances and world cuisine, the festival celebrated the beauty of diversity.

One of the highlights was the breathtaking “Bước chân Di sản” Áo Dài show - nearly 100 stunning designs presented under 3D mapping lights that brought the ancient citadel to life. Even more heartwarming, the showcased Áo Dài and other cultural items were auctioned, raising nearly 2.5 billion VND to support communities affected by recent floods in northern Vietnam. 💛

We can’t wait to see more meaningful cultural and food festivals like this in Hanoi in the future.

Join us for local experiences that capture the charm of Hanoi — from its hidden cafés to poetic autumn corners.
