“I give this tour 1,000 points!” — that was what Hugo (Leah’s son) told Linh after our family-friendly Hanoi tour together. Curious how the day went? Follow along with Leah’s family of four on their very first Hanoi experience, exploring the city through our Hanoi family quest.
With bright smiles and curious eyes, we strolled through the Old Quarter, discovering Hanoi through its culture, cuisine, and everyday stories — the kind of moments that make a Hanoi family tour truly special. Everyone was instantly hooked by local street food — especially bánh cuốn (steamed rolled rice pancakes). Soft, savory, and served with an irresistible fish sauce that had everyone nodding in approval.
But the show didn’t stop there. If bánh cuốn scored a solid 100/100, then bún riêu (river crab noodle soup) easily earned a 101. From the first spoonful to the very last drop, they couldn’t stop praising it — a perfect example of why Vietnamese street food is so loved by families with kids. Even after leaving, they turned back at the door just to tell Linh: “Please tell the vendor it’s insanely good — unforgettable!”
Our little explorers had their own moments of wonder, making this a truly family-friendly experience in Hanoi. Hugo and Olivia eagerly looked forward to the cyclo ride and dragonfly painting, two highlights of our Hanoi family quest, but one stop surprised them even more. The wooden stamp workshop turned into something truly special when we met Mr. Toàn, a skillful artisan who has devoted half of his life to hand-carving wooden stamps. Their eyes lit up as he carefully carved beautiful patterns — and even their own names — into wood. Without a doubt, the most meaningful souvenirs for a family with kids to take home from Vietnam.
As the day came to an end, none of us were quite ready to say goodbye — especially the kids. Our hearts melted when we heard Olivia whisper softly, “I will miss you so much.” The farewell lingered longer than expected, one of those small, quiet moments that define a Hanoi family tour and stay with us long after the experience ends.
Every family quest is a unique story waiting to be told. Ready to find your family’s favorite Hanoi spot? Message us! We’ll save you a roll and a smile. 🌟
