Coffee, Friendship & Laughter in Hanoi — A Heartwarming Vietnamese Coffee Workshop Experience

Katrina and Maryanne - two lovely friends from the Philippines - kicked off their first trip to Hanoi in the sweetest way possible: by joining our Coffee Workshop to explore the art of Vietnamese brewing together.


From the iconic egg coffee to the smooth coconut and bold salted coffee, each cup had its own story. While Katrina fell in love with the creamy coconut coffee, Maryanne declared salt coffee the winner. Two different cups, yet both full of delight – just like their friendship, unique but perfectly in harmony.


But the real highlight wasn’t just the coffee. It was the joy of connection - sharing stories about travel, friendship, and life back home. They shared Tagalog phrases with us, we taught them a few Vietnamese words. Soon the room was filled with laughter over mispronounced words and cheerful “Một, hai, ba, dzô!” and the kind of warmth that only good friends (and good coffee) can create.

One of the most important ingredients for making the iconic egg coffee is the egg yolk (yes, just the yolk!). Here, Katrina is separating the yolk from the white. 100% focus!


Just look at her face! She is proudly showing us her perfect egg yolks, ready to make creamy egg foam.

Whisks in hand, our besties teamed up and beat the eggs – the room was filled with laughter and excitement. These are friendship memories to remember!

Sprinkle sprinkle. Some finishing touches before our final results. We can’t wait to see how our friends’ masterpieces turned out!

And voilà! A perfect three-layer cup of egg coffee - bold coffee at the bottom, creamy egg foam in the middle and cocoa on top. All crafted by Katrina herself!

Here comes Maryanne’s favorite: Salted coffee! A little salty, a little sweet - bold yet comforting, just like Hanoi’s rhythm on a lovely day.
