Hidden bites, heartfelt moments and a birthday to remember! 🎉

We've been waiting to welcome Jacqui’s family all the way from Australia, and what a joy it was to finally meet them on our Taste of Hanoi tour on a lovely day.

Already big fans of Vietnamese cuisine back home, our foodies were thrilled to finally taste it in its homeland - from the fresh, zingy salad - “nộm”, to soft, delicate steamed rolled rice pancakes - “bánh cuốn”. “These are real hidden gems”, they said, and that’s exactly the kind of hidden magic we love to share. 💫 “Cảm ơn” became their favorite word, gently spoken at every stop, showing their appreciation to our lovely vendors.

And just when we thought the day couldn’t get any sweeter, came the best part. “Happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Chrissy!” - We’d been secretly planning a surprise birthday for Chrissy with all the love Vietnamese hospitality carries, including a pink cherry flavour cake, her favorite color. With glowing candles, joyful singing, and heartfelt wishes, it became a small but unforgettable celebration, the kind of memory that lingers longer than any flavor.

To Jacqui’s and Chrissy’s lovely family, thank you for spending a special birthday with us. Here’s to many more memories, hidden gems, and bowls of Vietnamese food ahead! 🥢✨

Our foodies slurping up delicious river crab noodle soup - “bún riêu” with chopsticks just like locals do and they loved it!

Crunchy fried pillow dumplings - “bánh gối”, conical hats, and laughter in the sun – A Hanoi morning done right!

Soft and savory pyramid rice dumpling - “bánh giò” wrapped in leaves, full of flavor and charm.

Cảm ơn”- gently spoken at every stop, showing their appreciation to our lovely local vendors!

“Happy birthday to you!”. Glowing candles, joyful singing, heartfelt wishes, and of course, a pink cherry cake - Chrissy’s favorite color!
